100lb Giant Piranha Caught by Jeremy Wade

WOW! I have been a big fan of marine life and intrigued by all the various species that live in the waters across the world. Growing up and even as an adult I have had fresh and salt water aquariums. I have even seen first hand how little piranhas and other vicious fish behave.

However, I have never seen anything like this? Yes we have all sorts of sharks and barracudas and I have even seen a 3 foot long snakefish, but a 5 foot long 100lb Giant Piranha technically know as a "tiger fish"??

WTF moment of my day and maybe week.

Well Jeremy Wade, the host of Animal Planet's River Monsters caught this fish with his team in the Congo River on a recent trip to Africa. Apparently these fish are hardly ever caught and are known for killing other animals their size or bigger like crocodiles and supposedly even humans.

After seeing this bad boy I think I might be crossing off the Congo River on my list of places to visit.

Holy shit ... and i thought this kind of thing only exist in movie. Might think again when you want to travel there
